ABOUT JOE GLASS
Hi, I'm Joe Glass

Since moving to this wonderful city three years ago with my wife and two kids, I’ve come to truly cherish Tallapoosa’s strong family values and small-town charm. Living and raising my family in a small town has been a lifelong dream—one that inspires my commitment to preserving the close-knit, supportive atmosphere that makes our community so unique.
My Journey
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mobile Development from Full Sail University and spent 26 years in the multifamily and student housing sectors. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on improving communities by managing property portfolios and creating comfortable, well-maintained living environments. Today, I emphasize community-focused solutions that enhance local living without overwhelming our cherished small-town spirit.
Professional Background
Leadership & Community Focus:
My experience managing property portfolios and overseeing neighborhood projects has taught me the importance of budgeting, operational efficiency, and team leadership—all aimed at strengthening our community.
Innovative, Local Solutions:
I’ve worked on projects that optimize operations and improve tenant satisfaction through thoughtful, data-driven strategies that support sustainable local growth.
Family and Community Investment:
At the heart of my mission is a deep commitment to family and community. My family isn’t just my support system—it’s a constant reminder of why our community matters so much. My wife, Heather Glass, brings invaluable experience to our journey. With her background as an ER Nurse and now serving as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in geriatrics with United Health Care, Heather connects us with the dedicated medical professionals, first responders, and caregivers who form the backbone of our community’s well-being.
Our children exemplify the spirit of local engagement and community pride. Our daughter, Madeline, is a freshman at Haralson County High School and actively participates in both Cross Country and Track, demonstrating dedication, teamwork, and school spirit. Our son, Gage, a 3rd grader at West Haralson Elementary School, plays baseball in the Tallapoosa city league—a vibrant reminder of the joy and unity that local sports bring to our community.
Together, our experiences in education, sports, and healthcare give us a unique insight into the needs of Tallapoosa’s residents. I understand firsthand that every family, business, and institution—from our schools and churches to our local healthcare providers—is integral to the fabric of our town. By focusing on policies and initiatives that invest in our community’s infrastructure, educational opportunities, and healthcare services, I am dedicated to fostering an environment where families can thrive, local institutions can prosper, and our shared values remain at the forefront of progress.
Why I’m Running
Tallapoosa is at a pivotal crossroads. I believe that transparent leadership, strategic planning, and responsible investment can guide our city’s growth while preserving the family-oriented values and small-town atmosphere that make our town unique. I’m dedicated to ensuring that every resident’s voice is heard—whether you’re a local business owner, a member of a church, a healthcare professional, or a family striving to create a nurturing home. I invite you to join me in building a future where smart, sustainable growth benefits all of Tallapoosa’s residents.
